Here’s a sneak peek at one of the new pieces I’m showing at Petshop in Benson, NE, tomorrow night.
For this exhibition I’ve setup a server to run WINNING 24/7. If you feel like loading up CS:S and checking it out you’ll want to d/l and install the custom skin pack here.
It’s been a lot more fun to revisit this old project than I thought it would be. A lot of Steam’s custom content file structure changed and that caused me some headaches. I’ve also remembered why I left the hate-filled subculture of CS:S after making this piece.
Here’s an exhibition catalog I put together the first time I showed WINNING.
Until they run out you can get a copy of the set of files I made using Daniel Rourke’s RAWerTUNES10.EXE noise-art album. It was made in homage to the now late, (great?) iTunes 10 release. As iTunes 11 makes its way onto computers across the globe this album will remain as a media-archive of splendid noises transcoded from iTunes 10 executables. Exapted from the same raw code each track is now accompanied by its own ‘Dude’ ready to be 3D printed, at your own (great) expense.
The files for sale here result in 3D models that cannot exist in real space. We urge you to buy them all anyway, and hope you enjoy their immateriality.
